Scientific Focus On Anti-Cancer Effects Of Vitamin C
After heart disease, cancer is the second leading cause of death worldwide. One in two men and one in three women will be diagnosed with some type of cancer in their lifetime. Despite novel initiatives, the American Cancer Society estimates that by 2020 the number of new cancers will increase to more than one million cases per year in men, and more than 900,000 cases per year in women. Melanoma, lung, breast, and prostate cancer are the most commonly diagnosed among the new cancers. Although cigarette smoking – the most common risk factor for cancer – still remains high, obesity and other metabolic disorders can contribute to and increase breast, colon, uterus, pancreas, and kidney cancers. Conventional cancer treatments such as surgery, chemotherapy, and radiotherapy may initially seem to be effective. However, since these treatments indiscriminately attack all cells including normal and cancer cells, they have debilitating and sometimes even fatal side effects. We know that vitamin C is a very potent antioxidant. Vitamin C helps as an anti-cancer agent by destroying free radicals. It also helps strengthen connective tissue along with the amino acids proline and lysine and other nutrients. We recently published an in-depth review article about the anti-cancer effects of vitamin C in a recent publication of the Journal of Cellular Medicine and Natural Health. The publication covers the various mechanisms involved in the anti-cancer effects of vitamin C. This includes the ability of this nutrient to selectively kill cancer cells by inducing cell-suicide (apoptosis) without harming normal cells. The Dr. Rath Institute and others, have shown that vitamin C induces the activity of several pro-apoptotic genes, including p53 and p21 genes. “Vitamin C is essential for the synthesis of collagen fibers and supporting tumor encapsulation making it hard for cancer cells to escape the capsule and metastasize. Our studies (conducted in specific mice that lack the ability to produce their own vitamin C) have shown that the animals supplemented with vitamin C developed a fewer number of tumors. The tumors were observed to be surrounded by a strong connective tissue capsule rendering them less invasive. Additionally, we further saw that such an encapsulating effect can inhibit the spread of tumors (metastasis) by 71%. Moreover, vitamin C supports the normal tissues thereby possibly decreasing the devastating side effects of chemo and radiotherapy.” With numerous studies illustrating the beneficial effects of vitamin C in cancer, it still has not become a mainstay of cancer treatment. A majority of studies focus on vitamin C applied as a single nutrient. We use the concept of micronutrient synergy, which supports vitamin C efficacy by targeting additional anti-cancer mechanisms. A specific combination of vitamin C with lysine, proline, green tea extract, quercetin and others, could effectively reduce cancer cell growth, induce apoptosis, curtail invasion and metastasis of cancer, and decrease growth of the blood vessels feeding the tumor (angiogenesis). Our scientific results clearly indicate that vitamin C in combination with other micronutrients has real potential in the effective management and natural defense against cancer.

Health Protective Effects of Phytonutrients: Cruciferous Vegetables

According to recent dietary guidelines, healthy people should consume at least 5-9 (and sometimes up to 13) servings of fruits and vegetables daily (one serving equals 1 cup). Especially recommended are colorful fruits and vegetables rich in vitamins and various phytonutrients. However, there is a large discrepancy between the daily recommendations and the actual consumption. In the US only about 20% of people consume these daily amounts of fruits and vegetables. In Europe, the WHO estimates that fruit and vegetable consumption is lower than 400 g per day in over half of the countries, and less than 300 g per day in most others1. These estimates often include vegetables contained in processed food. Eating fruits and vegetables has important health benefits and is associated with a decreased risk of several chronic diseases including cardiovascular disease, cancer, diabetes, and hypertension. Cruciferous vegetables such as broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cabbage, cauliflower, chard, kale, mustard greens, and turnips are high in dietary fiber, and vitamins and minerals including potassium, calcium, selenium, iron, vitamins A and C and other phytochemical compounds. For example, the carotenoids present in carrots are powerful phytochemicals with strong antioxidant properties important for healthy skin, eyes, and cardiovascular protection. It should be noted that the active compounds from cruciferous vegetables are released during their preparation (chopping, shredding, etc.) and most of their nutritive value is lost during cooking. Antioxidant properties, the ability to inhibit tumor growth and induce apoptosis, and detoxification of pro-carcinogens are some of the mechanisms by which cruciferous vegetable extracts provide protection against cancers. In fact, high intakes of these vegetables have been associated with lower risk of cancers, including colon, lung, and pancreatic cancers, as well as hormone dependent breast and prostate cancers. The somewhat sharp and pungent taste associated with cruciferous vegetables is due to a sulphur compound called glucosinolates. Sulforaphane is one of the most studied components due to its antioxidant and anti-cancer activity. Studies have reported that it can reduce cancer cells growth and induce their death in leukemia patients2. Our research institute has conducted studies in cancer using a combination of extracts from various cruciferous vegetables, e.g., cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, and carrots, and other plant-derived compounds such as quercetin, curcumin, resveratrol, and green tea. It is well known that melanoma is an extremely aggressive cancer. In one of the studies3 using melanoma cells, we observed that the phytonutrient combination was able to inhibit the growth of the melanoma cells by 80% at very low concentrations of 25µg/ml and it induced cancer cell death (apoptosis). This combination also completely blocked the matrix metalloproteinase (MMP) enzymes, which facilitate the spread (metastasis) of melanoma and other cancers to vital organs such as the liver, lungs, bones and brain. More studies with this nutrient combination will be available soon. In addition to the strong anti-cancer actions, phytochemical compounds in cruciferous vegetables are also being explored for their benefits in diabetic neuropathy, Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease, and brain injury. Considering their strong anticancer, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects, all the colorful cruciferous vegetables should become a part of our daily diet.

The Cell Damaging Effects Of Roundup (Glyphosate) Herbicides
Roundup is a highly toxic herbicide containing the active ingredient glyphosate. Glyphosate is a non-selective herbicide which means that it kills most plants by preventing them from making certain proteins required for their growth. Monsanto produces Roundup and the seeds that grow into genetically engineered (GE) plants that -are tolerant to glyphosate. Worldwide Roundup sales are approximately $6B annually. They are projected to be $9B by 2019 due to the demand created by the company’s proprietary Roundup Ready genetically modified crops. Roundup destroys all life in the soil. It kills all microbes that would typically help in plant growth by providing nutrients and protection from diseases.
In 2015 the World Health Organization declared glyphosate as a probable carcinogen, however, the regulatory agencies still debate about the safety of Roundup for human consumption. The US Environmental Protection Agency now allows 50 times more glyphosate on corn crops than they did in 1996. In 2015 more than 220 million pounds of glyphosate were used in the US alone on edible crops such as GE corn and soybeans, processed foods with MSG, vegetable oils, high fructose corn syrup and animal feed. The more we use these chemicals to grow our food, the harder they are to avoid. With such a widespread use of glyphosates, the indirect human consumption has increased through drinking water and other plants all leading to a multitude of health issues.
Farmers exposed to glyphosate herbicides have double the risk of developing non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma because of its effects on the immune system. Minimal exposure by inhalation of Glyphosate, even at 450 times less concentration than that used for spraying, damages DNA in the cells. Glyphosate exposure is also linked to cancers of the thyroid, liver, pancreas, kidneys and urinary bladder. Glyphosate is known to be an endocrine disruptor. The endocrine system regulates metabolism, growth and development, tissue function, sexual function, reproduction, and sleep and mood. Glyphosate wreaks havoc on the endocrine system due in part to the levels that are legally allowed in drinking water. Scientists have associated glyphosate exposure with increased incidence of diseases such as celiac and Crohn’s, lactose and gluten intolerance, fatty liver, metabolic syndrome, and neurological conditions including autism, ADHD, and Alzheimer’s disease.
At the Dr. Rath Research Institute, we conducted a study to evaluate the effects of glyphosate at various doses on human cells.* We used human skin ﬁbroblasts to mimic a direct exposure to this herbicide through skin contact, and with kidney cells since Roundup has been indicated to cause increased risk of kidney damage in workers exposed to it. In the study we also used different commercially available nutritional supplements to assess their protective effects against the cellular damage caused by glyphosate exposure to determine if they are sources of possible protection from the harm caused by this widely used herbicide.
Our results conﬁrm glyphosate exposure is severely toxic to human cells. Except for one supplement formula, other commercially available micronutrient formulas tested in this study did not show any protection against glyphosate damage. The one speciﬁc micronutrient combination that showed cell protective effects contained potent antioxidants such as vitamin C, green tea and plant extracts, quercetin, and others. The micronutrient combination in this formula was based on the principle of nutrient synergy.
The best way to protect your health against this and other herbicides is to avoid all genetically engineered and processed foods containing corn, soy, and canola. In addition to consuming organic food, people should also consider including scientifically researched micronutrient supplements. Furthermore, it is critical to build worldwide awareness and demand strict regulations against such toxic agents.

There are many things that can affect a natural organic farm. The one with the most impact is the weather. I have been keeping weather data for decades and it is amazing how much of my data seems to contradict what I hear in media. Now, being a person who not only depends on the natural-ness of our environment to live I also work tirelessly to protect it from lazy greedy humans.
I know that increases in CO2 increase plant growth. More plant growth…more oxygen. Plants need CO2 and we need O2. Nature knows what it is doing. We are only a miniscule part of the whole beautiful perfect natural cycle. Living a natural life is best for the planet. Nature’s own system of checks and balances will surely correct any imbalance that threatens it as man has witnessed over the last few thousand years. Nature’s calendar is much different then ours. The population of “think-we-know-it-all” humans, must face-up to the fact that today we have no idea what exactly took place on earth 15,000 years ago. We can only use what little we have learned and the gadgets we have invented to guess at what was. Nature (the planet) is estimated by “scientists” to be a billion plus years old and how old is mankind? Although science can guide us to determine facts about current climactic conditions, keep in mind that the science being used was/is developed by humans and without written weather observation data from 10,000 years ago how could we ever know if we are honestly getting warmer or colder? Or if this is just a cycle in our planet earths life span. The answer lies in astrological space and in the super thick layers of ice that exist on our polar caps. The temperature of the Sun and the chemical compounds in the ice layers reveal a plethora of interesting evidence. Two things we, as humans, definitely measure quite well and for the most part accurately are temperature and chemical compounds.
My recent weather watching has revealed we have had 20 straight days of overcast skies and since January 1st only 3 days of definitive sunshine to date. When I hear the weather report on the radio they have been forecasting sun or mixed sun and clouds. The next day there is a slate to light grey sky over my head…All day. Maybe it is just me and for some reason the clouds like sitting over my homestead. But seriously, I wonder if these high paid meteorologists actually even look up at the sky to read the signs or if they spend their time sitting in a cave or bunker somewhere staring at their computer models. Coincidently, today I received a news release from a fellow weather watcher and thought it was so revealing and in line with my personal data, which I have been collecting for over 25 years, that I was compelled to share it. I created Locally Raw to serve as a source of un-biased science and information with the primary focus on nutritional health. Using my dual career wisdom and my life long passion for all science, I search out truth in order to gain a true understanding of the world around me. When one truly understands the world around them they no long fear it. I have found that many , if not most, of the information sources out there we are all familiar with seem to be very weak and opinionated and yet they are looked upon by people as creditable. Here’s an example, Most non corporate funded intellectuals who study climate have long since agreed, and they have accumulated decades of proof, that the changes to our planetary climate is heading toward a natural cooling down period not toward a perpetual warming. Add to that those ice-core samples being studied and the fact that the sun is a star (all stars have a life span) and we begin to peer into some real scientific data. We know for a fact that our sun is cooling and since the air temps during the day are primarily controlled by the sun we will naturally cool down as the sun cools down. Well, I could go on and on about the physics and environmental factors which are involved but I prefer to focus on health and nutrition in that kind of detail so… Let me just pass this news update about N.A.S.A. and their findings. Keep in mind N.A.S.A. has the money of the Washington money machine behind them and that Atmosphere and Space is their “thing”. That’s what they watch and study. They have the international brain power and the time funded by the Federal Reserve. There is credibility here. Check it out.
NASA Finally Admits It’s Going to Get Colder

NASA has actually admitted that there may be a link between the solar climate and the earth climate. “[In] recent years, researchers have considered the possibility that the sun plays a role in global warming. After all, the sun is the main source of heat for our planet,” Nasa confirmed. Despite the constant stories of how recent years have been the hottest, historically, NASA has estimated that four of the 10 hottest years in the U.S. were actually during the 1930s, with 1934 the hottest of all. This was the Dust Bowl; the combination of vast dust storms created by drought and hot weather.
The branch of research looking at the ice core samples to document climate for thousands of years has established the major solar cycle of about 300 years. Carbon Dioxide Information Analysis Center (CDIAC), which has the ice core data back 800,000 years, is being shut down as of September 2017 (800,000-year Ice-Core Records of Atmospheric Carbon Dioxide (CO2)).
The data clearly establishes that there has always been a cycle to CO2 long before man’s industrial age. This is data government wants to hide. As along as they can pretend CO2 has never risen in the past before 1950, then they can tax the air and pretend it’s to prevent climate change. Moreover, while we can clean the air with regulation as we have done, under global warming, they allow “credits” to pollute as long as you pay the government. It is the ultimate scam where they get to tax pollution and people cheer rather than clean up anything.
NASA has reported: “Indeed, the sun could be on the threshold of a mini-Maunder event right now. Ongoing Solar Cycle 24 is the weakest in more than 50 years. Moreover, there is evidence of a long-term weakening trend in the magnetic field strength of sunspots. Matt Penn and William Livingston of the National Solar Observatory predict that by the time Solar Cycle 25 arrives, magnetic fields on the sun will be so weak that few if any sunspots will be formed. Independent lines of research involving helioseismology and surface polar fields tend to support their conclusion. (Note: Penn and Livingston were not participants at the NRC workshop.)
If the sun really is entering an unfamiliar modern phase of the solar cycle, then we must redouble our efforts to understand the sun-climate link…”
Additionally, the pretense of global warming prevents us from preparing for a sharp decline in cold weather that will be dangerous to society to say the least. This winter is colder than last year and last year was colder than the previous. It has snowed in Japan down to Athens. Even Corsica where winter highs are typically in the mid-50s, lows around 40, saw snow. We need to pay attention to Climate Change but stop blaming man. Something far more significant is developing and handing academics $100 billion to prove global warming is an absolute joke.
The Dust Bowl wiped out agriculture and sent unemployment to 25% during the Great Depression. Climate Change forced Americans off the farm and into skilled labor. Agriculture accounted for 70% in 1850 of all employment. We MUST stop this nonsense and begin an unbiased look at the changes and what are the ramifications going forward. This 1922 post in the Monthly Weather Review warned of a warming trend back then, but it only reflected one cycle move. It got much warmer going into the 1930s (source NOAA.GOV).

Every year at this time I do some deep soul searching. My mission is to look back at all the successes and mistakes that I have either experienced myself or witnessed of others. My goal is to use that priceless data as a road map that can assist me in making the changes in my life which will in turn improve the quality of my life and the life of those that I encounter along the way. This habit has served me well over the many years and I see no logical reason to stop any time soon. Change on planet earth is infinite and by the second. Many of the natural changes that occur on our planet have yet to be discovered or for that matter even understood. Our government researchers and Universities seem to have blended true fact science with theory over the last hundred years in what appears now to be an effort to steer the minds of the public in the direction that the entity funding the study determines to be desirable. This makes for the most confusing pile of jumbled facts I have ever seen. (Aside from the nonsense that the USA has a two party political system today and that extra CO2 emissions hurt the planet). The best way to draw an opinion from the propaganda we are spoon fed, via blind trust, is to study the topic from every available source you can track down. Next you should have some fundamental concept of the science of physics and a comprehension of mathematics. With research in hand, and proven scientific principles in mind, begin the process of elimination. If something seems bizarre I suggest looking it at more closely and more carefully. It has been my experience that those things which seem to be the most concocted, or labeled ridiculous , tend to have enough true fact in them to refute the status quo. Just because you have never been taught something, exposed to something or told something by the media/government it does not mean that it doesn’t exist or isn’t true, especially information that the media or the government publicly claim is false in repetitive ad campaigns or harmful to you via public service announcements. I have found that more than 70% of what I learned from mainstream media sources has turned out to be distorted half truths. I was shocked and then that feeling was followed by shame and embarrassment. Why was the truth withheld? Why were the facts incomplete? Incompetence? Ignorance? Or was it Intentional? They fooled me all these years! Not any more.
Once your mind is warmed up and your cognitive abilities are fine tuned it is time to exercise the long forgotten skill and revolutionary effectiveness of COMMON SENSE. I must point out that the use of common sense is useless if you are basing it on the molded opinions you have been habituated to by the mainstream media. You must first wash your hands before you begin surgery therefore you must cleanse the mind before thinking.
With that said, I would like to offer some food for thought as we journey into the next year.
Our planet is in a constant state of change and movement. From the clouds to the rocks there is constant change occurring. Our planet has been around for billions of years. Just remember: There are 31, 536,000 seconds in a year. Counting a number per second out loud, non stop, it would take you 31.7 years to count to 1 billion. Think of that next time you hear our politicians talking about spending tax dollars. It would take you about 31,000 years to count to 1 trillion. That’s thousands of years. Life span estimates today of the average modern human is 72 years (an embarrassing tribute to modern chemical medicine and a toxic diet). So let’s agree that the earth is very old. Now where did all your personal knowledge come from that you currently possess about our planet and it’s environment? How long has man been accumulating data on our planet? Has mankind ever been wrong in their planetary theories? Do you remember when the earth was the center of the universe? Or the Challenger disaster? Or the damaging effects of both medical ex-rays and solar radiation from air travel, computer screens and televisions? Or the genocidal use of E=MC2. How about mercury in dental fillings? Oh by the way…the Native Americans were NOT savages. NO amount of fluoride is safe to consume or breathe, and chemotherapy and radiation ARE most definitely and indisputably, carcinogenic
Now that we have satellites and radar and other high tech expensive toys, you probably believe that those manmade machines are undeniably perfect and work as designed and as advertised…right? Remember those exploding cell phone batteries? Or the dangerous laptops? How about the hacking of sensitive financial or government data bases? Other than the marketing claims of the technology companies and the news we receive from mainstream media what do you really know about the accuracy and abilities of our eyes in the sky and the effects of the huge amounts of electromagnetic radiation we are exposed to every day in our homes, our work commutes and on the job? Look at the numbers of lawsuits that are filed and won by victims of these daily dangers. The machine is only as good as the human who makes it and humans are far from perfect despite what the Amazon reviews claim..
The earth is a system of perfect checks and balances all operating in one continuous cycle that adapts to it’s own existing state of constant change. Much like our own human bodies. Man is merely a miniscule part of the whole natural system (although those in power need you to believe otherwise) that has a preservation gyro-scope built-in and pre programed from the beginning of time ready to counter anything that threatens the optimal balance of the earth’s environment. Think of it as an auto-pilot ability which ensures that no matter what may happen on earth, life perseveres (barring the strike to earth by an asteroid, the destruction of our protective atmosphere, or the dying of the sun). From the tiniest of viruses to the giant creatures of the sea, all life forms were born with the ability to adapt and survive…and so they do within the overall cycles of our ancient planet. The extinction of species is a natural and necessary part of the natural world since time began. (There has been archeological evidence discovered which suggests that civilized man had existed before the dinosaurs) Man, being a mammalian creature on terra firma, has a role to play as do all creatures but that role is certainly not to change, distort or control nature for the benefit of the elite and powerful…it is simply to be part of it through coexistence, respect and acceptance. Fortunately, our modern selfish, greedy and exploitive ways are already figured into the overall “Life on Earth” master plan. When the rulers of mankind decide to seed the skies via jet fuel exhaust with metals and other chemicals to generate the formation of clouds and block sunlight from reaching earth… the Earth is pre programed to adjust for that. When man in all his self proclaimed genius decides to purposely add toxic chemicals to the water supply, or perforate our protective atmosphere with rocket launches in the name of space exploration, or to orchestrate the mass uncontrolled contamination of planetary flora via man made compounds and artificial harmful genetic manipulations to satisfy the greed of a minority of individuals, nature is prepared for that too. Simply put, man cannot destroy the environment of planet earth. Planet earth will not deal with such insubordination. The power of the whole is greater than any of it’s individual parts. The built in survival “app” in nature guarantees that any threat to the overall balance be curtailed if not eliminated. Keep in mind that the calendar of the planet covers millions of years compared to the calendars of mankind which span millinia. The planet’s concept of time vastly differs from an individual human’s. Especially since we have all been socially conditioned (through psychological propaganda) to demand things “faster”, “easier” and ”cheaper”. The planet demands things to remain in balance no matter how long it might take to correct any imbalance.
So the next time you hear, or perhaps feel for yourself, that if we don’t stop destroying our environment with CO2, or any other naturally assimilated compound, our planet will die …take it one step closer to the true reality and contemplate this; If we do not stop allowing strangers in high places to control our daily routines, our thoughts and beliefs, our interests, our human behaviors and our basic natural needs, then the earth will institute the automatic response of eradicating the threat on it’s own time schedule in accordance with it’s own ability as it has since time began.
We all need to overcome the lazy reliance on being told what to believe, think, like, say and want. We really need to reverse the misconception that a minority of powerful people (masters) should control billions of not-so-powerful people (slaves) and on a social level perhaps we should implement a public chastising for anyone observed exercising any form of the anti-social ”politically correct” attitudes that saturate and undermine our civilized society today, in order to individually and conjunctively extract even a tiny bit of that sweet marrow from the bones of life. If you honestly believe that people who get paid BIG money (editors) while they control exactly what specific news you are spoon fed every day, through TV, print, radio, Hollywood and social media, are sincerely considerate of your own personal well-being then maybe it is time to re-boot yourself. Your hard drive has a virus!
Looking at society in a simple, logical and supportive way I can not help but to see the pure genius that exists in two old and wise gifts that seem to have either been forgotten or have been intentionally omitted from our daily lives. I suggest that we all revisit them and incorporate their brilliance into our own daily routines for that is the ONLY way each of us, as not-so-powerful individuals, can bring equality, peace, safety and prosperity to all. What are those priceless gifts to human society and the planet earth?
Number ONE- The ancient Ten Commandments which cover all laws necessary (10) for a well run society. (i.e.. Thou shall not kill – one law covers all human vs human death, regardless of prior name calling, intent, mind set, or reason – killing any person is wrong and illegal let the jury decide the individual case verdict. Thou shalt not steal – one law covers ALL theft. This concept brings the rich and powerful to an even level with the vagrant. Each case can present unique evidence for the one and only charge -Theft. The jury of peers can decide the verdict based on evidence) Killing is killing and stealing is stealing, the details only matter to the jury.
Number TWO- Those wonderful ten inalienable constitutional rights which protects us from rule by the wealthy and keeps everyone free, safe and equal in opportunity.
The Ten Commandments of the Old Testament (The Bible) and the US Bill of Rights are synergistic and complementary, fair and just, respectable and generous, ying and yang. Those 20 bits of wisdom can only serve society well as a whole and allow each of us, as individuals, to prosper as humans and as a species on this living ever-changing and eco-balanced planet called Earth.
So, before you drift off to sleep tonight ask yourself… Who, or what, really controls my life? How sure am I about what I know to be true? Where do my opinions really come from?
In closing, I would like to ask…How long does your personal knowledge warranty last and exactly what does it cover? Perhaps I can interest someone in buying an additional extended warranty plan that covers you for any lie or distortion of truth…for a mere 2,500 dollars extra you can be B.S. proof for three years. I’ll even thrown in the proof that supports the truth for free.

These past four (eight) years of silent law passing and executive orders in arcanum have erased nearly everything free about our once great nation. Flawed GMO Labeling Bill Signed into Federal Law
Last Friday, a historically discriminatory and fatally flawed mandatory GMO labeling bill was signed into federal law. The legislation, dubbed by opponents as “the DARK Act” originated from a motivation to preempt states’ ability to require meaningful GMO labeling.

The law is not scheduled to take effect for two years, and a lot of critical questions remain unanswered. Many of you know how I scrutinize the modern illness-care system and how I resent their total disregard of human biology and nutrition when faced with a patient’s ailments. I am disgusted with how no matter what the case, physicians give out toxic dangerous and addictive drugs and destructive antibiotics to all who enter their domains reminiscent of the techniques used by street wise heroin dealers. If doctors are so intelligent than why is it so hard for them to understand how nutrition plays the crucial role in human health…Not man made drugs designed to only treat symptoms of illnesses. Where are the cures? There is no profit in curing people. Good health makes a lot of sense (cents) but it does not make a lot of dollars. I have decades of research and supporting facts that challenge and eviscerate the modern industrial medical complex but I will save that for another date sometime after the appointment of our next Mrs. President perhaps. This post is to share a video that looks into why our modern doctors are good at drug pushing but not at healing. I urge everyone to contact your Senators and demand that the Obama Administration’s DARK ACT not be resurrected. Already once defeated in the Senate, the corporate cronyism is rearing it’s ugly head as the July 1st effect date rapidly approaches.

Dispelling GMO Labeling Myths:
GMO labeling will not increase food prices. Companies frequently change labels to highlight new innovations and GMO label will not act as a warning.
Voluntary labeling will not work. Companies have been allowed to make voluntary non-GMO disclosures since 2001, but consumers are more confused than ever.
There is no “patchwork quilt.” Current state GMO labeling laws are virtually identical, so there will be no “patchwork quilt” of different state laws.
GMO crops do not feed the world. Conventional and GMO corn and soybean yields have increased at the same rate. What’s more, U.S. farmers produce only 4 percent of rice, wheat, fruits, and vegetables, and most U.S. corn and soybeans are mostly used for animal feed and ethanol, not food.
GMO crops have increased herbicide applications. Widespread adoption of GMO crops has increased annual applications of glyphosate – a probable human carcinogen – from 16 million pounds to more than 280 million pounds.
GMO crops have led to more toxic herbicides. As weeds have become resistant to glyphosate, farmers have turned to more toxic weed killers linked to cancer, Parkinson’s disease, and reproductive problems.

I also believe that a law requiring companies to clearly state ALL ingredients in any product is common sense, honest, and does No One any harm… or does it? Protecting all Americans and our nation’s food supply should be a “no brainer” priority for our elected politicians on the Hill and Pennsylvania Ave unless those who make the food, those who pass the laws, and those who push the pills know the hidden truth! The only other explanation for their current delay, hesitation and resistance is that we the people are being represented by a group of village idiots who may have law degrees but no intelligence or comprehension. The fact is anyone can BUY a degree these days if you have the money or influence. What matters most in our great Republic is freedom, health and honesty… I see none of those coming from Washington these days.

Happy Spring to everyone! I am so excited about this season more than ever due to the fact that we opened up our seed vault and have decided to share some incredible purity, rarity and forgotten varieties some from over 1000 years ago (pure strains) . I have also received some Old World and long lost varieties of seed from a great old friend and fellow nature-logical human being from Greenland. Thanks Mr. H. Add to those a handful of my own unique hand cross pollinated nutrient dense heirloom varieties and we have a the makings of a major culinary feast.
I will be posting a list of plant families and the number of varieties for each on the Crop Report page as soon as I can add them all up. I believe varieties total about 145. These locally grown pure, delicious, and nutritious edibles will be offered at Myer the Florist this season all coming from the farm only a few miles away. I am confident you will be bare foot (knock your socks and shoes off) after tasting some of the amazing fruits and vegetables. I know that this season will be the best one yet and I believe that all who care to visit and partake in the purest of natures bounty will find themselves well fed, super nourished and healthier this summer and right through the winter. There are neary one hundred patents being applied for as we speak and only a few months ago the FDA gave final approval for GMO Salmon. Their reason for genetically modifying salmon…they will grow faster!!!!!!!!!!
